In April I had some visitors while Sam was away on business. It was so great and helped passed the time. Sam's sister Sarah and his mom came to visit from the states. We had a great time traveling Europe and England together! So many laughs and memories I will cherish forever. Sadly, though it was the last time I was able to travel with the Bairds! Thankfully, April passed quickly and I found out during that time that I would be starting a new job at the school working in the AVID classroom. AVID stands for advancement via individual determination. Though it isn't my own classroom it is great to continue my work with the students I love, middle school students, and it is only four days a week which is fantastic for traveling! Sam came home at the end of May (briefly) he was home for about a week before being sent away on another business trip. Sadly, this meant that he missed a wedding and I was on my own again for transatlantic flight in June. The best man from our wedding, and friend of Sam's for 16+ year, married his bride this past summer. Sam was supposed to be in the wedding and we planned/booked a nice two week trip home. Sam was only supposed to be gone for a day or two but his line of work in unpredictable and he ended up being gone close to three weeks. Thankfully, they invented insurance and we had purchased the cancel for any reason kind for his ticket. We just got the $1200 back for that plane ticket last month, they are sure in no hurry to make refunds! I still went back to the states, I represented Sam at the wedding and spent so much wonderful quality time with my mom. I loved it. Though it always makes coming back to England harder. We love living in England but any time visiting family just isn't enough and only makes me homesick to stay with my mom.
Enjoy the following pictures from June in Nashville, TN and Springfield, MO:

So very sad, this trip ended too quickly. I miss you mom! |
I just realized that I didn't take a lot of pictures whilst home. Mainly because I was too busy gorging myself in my moms classic and my favorite foods as well as Qdoba, chickfila, Andy's, and Cheddars....ahhhh I miss America! When I wasn't stuffing my face and downing large drinks with ice I was spending quality time with family and friends and those memories remain in my heart forever! Love and miss you all!
Thanks for reading!
Amanda
